For some strange, unknown reason, Apple failed to include the ability to use FaceTime over 3G Cell Service when the released the feature along with their iPhone 4. However, now with the help of the App Store, there is a way in which iPhone 4 users can video chat with anyone using 3G. The way that this works is by using an application, called Fring, which is a free download from the iTunes App Store. Once downloaded, users can video chat with anyone else using the App over 3G, as well as wifi, but this app even comes with an added bonus--you can video chat with other mobile devices and computers--not just other iPhone 4's! However, there are a few downsides to using this app over 3G that users should be warned of. First off, it is a big data hog, so if you have a limited data plan, be careful, as you may rack up a LOT of money on your bill. Also, because 3G is slower than wifi, video quality may be laggy or rough, but hey, it works right? Moreover, you can only use the front facing camera on the iPhone in Fring, not both like in FaceTime. And Lastly, this may destroy At&t's bandwith so we may have to see if it will last. But for now, go grab the App! Link below, and for more information, as well as a live preview of the app, watch the video below! Thanks.
